Joyce Bichlmeier was born in 1940 in Los Angeles, California and grew up there with her one sister. Joyce married had 3 children: Cary, Terry, and Sherrie. Cary and Terry are president and vice president of Bichlmeier Insurance Services, respectively.
In 1961, Joyce made her debut into the insurance industry and wrote all lines of insurance. In 1976 she then opened the Hermosa Beach office, and continued to be an outstanding community volunteer by serving as president or sitting on committees and/or boards of organizations such as the Professional Insurance Agents of California & Nevada, Chamber of commerce and the National Association of Insurance Women. Her hard work paid off, and Joyce received numerous awards including 1988 Chairman of the Year (Professional Insurance Agents of California and Nevada), 1982 Director of the Year (Hermosa Beach Chamber of Commerce) and 1982 South Bay Woman of the Year (YWCA).
Joyce is currently semi‐retired and lives in Redding, California, where she maintains a home office. She is married and has 12 wonderful grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Her favorite hobbies are traveling, gardening, and participating in her local Red Hat Society, the Rebellious Elegant Dames.
